Happy Flamingo Day! …From a Live Operator Answering Service
Are you taking some time off for the holiday weekend? Memorial Day is a day
A Busy Day
Because of the types of clients we support, the Friday leading into the holiday weekend has become one of our busiest days of the year. Obviously we staff up appropriately for that day and are on high alert to ensure our clients’ needs are fully met, but it is still a bit of a tough day for our live operators. A few years back, in recognition of this busy day (and weekend), one of our staff members decorated the entire office with pink flamingos. Flamingo signs, flamingo posters, flamingo stuffed animals, flamingo figurines, and, of course, some of those large pink flamingo lawn ornaments. The idea was simple: help brighten the mood on what we knew would be a tough day. Since then, our Flamingo Day has grown. The decorations are up throughout the week, lunch is provided for the entire staff on Friday, and we now have our own little tradition of welcoming in the summer season in spite of a heavy work load.
Appreciating a Smile
Keeping a positive and cheerful attitude throughout a hectic workday is not an easy task no matter what profession you are in. As a live operator answering service, we use Flamingo Day to do just that; because often times you can “hear a smile” over the phone. If you are taking some well-deserved time off this weekend, be sure to show your appreciation of any worker who is making that extra effort to serve your needs in a happy and friendly manner. If you will be busy working, especially in one of those professions as mentioned above, then please stay positive – and Happy Flamingo Day to you!
What Does Your Office Do?
