A great call routing example was recently posted by sales authority Jeffrey Gitomer, in which he attempts to buy a simple product in preparation for an upcoming event. He finds two vendors via a web search, tries to purchase from what appears to be the higher rated service, and then learns to his dismay that the company won’t even accept phone calls. He ends up doing business (very happily) with the second one who obviously takes a more sincere interest in their prospects and customers. Although Jeffrey’s example may be a little on the extreme side, we all know from our calling experiences that this under-appreciation of clients and prospects is rampant throughout the business world.
